What materials do I need?

  • Knife
  • Mulch
  • Tarp (Optional)

What is the winterization process?

This is a super easy process. Following these steps:

Step 1 - Chop down the entire plant 6-12 inches from the base. Make an angled cut.

Step 2 - Pile at least 1 foot of mulch on top of the stump.

Step 3 - Put a tarp over the pile of mulch.

Step 4 - Put more mulch to weigh down the tarp.

That's it! Remove the tarp and mulch after the last frost in the spring and new plants will begin emerging from the stump.
